Avunu-2 is failed attempt as the continuation of a successful film. Ravibabu seems to have guessed the failure midway of the film and totally seemed uninterested from the second half which totally falls out. Readers may have to find better ways to pass this weekend!

After the horrible experiences with Captain Raju's ghost, Mohini (Poorna) and Harsha (Harshavardhan Rane) moves to another flat in Hyderabad. Mohini who is still struggling to come to normal terms meets a Naga Sadhu who gives her a locket which saves her from evil. After few days, Mohini once again starts to feel the paranormal activity in the house. Harsha do not believe her but still gets Sanjana (Sanjjanaa) to track any paranormal activity using her thermal camera. Rest of the story is about what this problem is and how the couple fights it.

Poorna is good except in the parts where she looked terrified and screaming her lungs out. Harshavardhan Rane is similar to many ordinary roles he played so far. Sanjjanna and Nikitha Thukral are okay. Ravi Varma fails to convince as a Schizophrenic patient. Chakravarthy is partially fine in his limited character.

Avunu 2 is quite similar to the numerous ghost thrillers we got in the past where a couple move to a new house, the ghosts comes haunting them and the trauma continues. Ravibabu replicated the same formula using some references of scenes to old Hollywood classics. There is no proper horror factor in the film as every thing goes on expected lines with exciting the audience. Most of the time, you get a feel that you are watching a slightly changed version of Avunu in the name of a part-2.

Sekhar Chandra's music is too loud to gel in to the film. Most of the camera angles are weird and are of no effect. Editing is very poor particularly in the second half. Production Values are up to the demand of the story.

Finally, Avunu-2 is failed attempt as the continuation of a successful film. Ravibabu seems to have guessed the failure midway of the film and totally seemed uninterested from the second half which totally falls out. Readers may have to find better ways to pass this weekend!
